Tillett Consulting Engineers was formed in 2014 and provides structural engineering services to help you meet your project goals.
Based in York, we are a friendly client focussed business who specialise in house extensions, barn conversions, loft conversions, and new steel framed structures such as office buildings, warehouses and more. We offer structural surveys for existing masonry, concrete, steel and timber structures. Clients range from Architects and Building Surveyors, Builders and Contractors, to Domestic or Commercial property owners who are involved in new developments, or modifications and additions to existing property.

We offer advice to clients at the feasibility or planning stage, helping them turn aspirations into workable proposals. Knowing what may be possible is key to conceptualising an ambitious project.

Structural alterations to existing properties which involve openings or other structural changes, or new build proposals, may require calculations.
Structural Surveys
Cracks in walls could be a sign of underlying structural issues. We can undertake a visual survey of your property to determine the cause of masonry cracks and whether any remedial work is required.
